Mixpad Free Music Mixer is a music mixing program for Windows.
Free music mixing programs are a mixed bag. Some are very good, while others are basically ads for paid programs. Fortunately, Mixpad Free Music Mixer belongs in the first category. Not only does it work well, but it outputs to multiple formats. This gives experienced users a chance to mix their music to their preference and walk away with files they can use in real life. There's a fair bit here to use if you are really into mixing music, and you'll be happy with your results. Everything you produce will rely on your own talent, so you don't have the software to blame if something goes wrong.
Unfortunately, this program isn't particularly useful for novices. While most people can figure out what every function does on their own, it'd be nice if there were a few tutorials or wizards to help people new to the hobby. A lot of that fault has to be placed squarely on the interface - it's certainly useful, but it can be a bit arcane if you haven't used music-mixing software before. This is clearly a program made for people who know what they are doing.
If you're looking for a free music mixer and you already have experience with the process, this is a great download. You'll get exactly what you need, even if there isn't someone to hold your hand through the process. It could use some updating to provide a better interface, however. If you already know exactly what you need to do, though, you won't find a better free mixer on the market.
